Q: Do I need a prescription?

A: A prescription is required for reimbursement through Medicare. However, some of our partners offer the device for direct purchase by credit card, with no prescription required.

Q: Will my insurance cover the device?

A: The device may be covered if you are enrolled in Medicare and your insurance approves it. Please complete the contact form with your information, and we will refer you to one of our sales partners who has an agreement with your insurance provider.

Q: Are there any medical conditions that would prevent me from using UriCap?

A: UriCap is not recommended for individuals with urinary retention without leakage (in which case catheterization may be required), an active urinary infection, or skin irritation in the area where the device is applied. Use of the device is also not recommended for individuals diagnosed with grade 3 prolapse.

Q: Is it reusable or disposable?

A: Uricap is disposable and should be replaced every 24 hours. It is designed for single use only. Reusing the device may compromise functionality and could increase the risk of infection.

Q: Can I use it while being active or exercising?

A: The device is not designed to be used during exercise or other physical activities.

Q: Can I wear it overnight?

A: UriCap Female is perfectly suitable for nigh-time use. Most urine is produced at night. The device will keep the skin dry with no need to interrupt sleep for change of briefs or to perform catheterisation preventing possible overflow during the night.

Q: Will it stay in place during movement or sleep?

A: Yes, UriCap is designed to allow for normal movement during sleep if used with a catheter leg securement strap and with sufficient slack in the extension tube.
